But it’s better than my gun locker cabinet from Harbor Freight that I will now be using for ammunition storage. Although it is American-made, the steel does feel a little thinner than what I would like. However, I really would have liked those steel locking bars as opposed to the round locking deadbolts that the safe comes with.

All in all I got a $1400 safe (plus NO sales tax) for $1250 delivered and set in place where I wanted it. Its a 634 lb safe, and all I had to do was point to where I wanted them to set it down for me.

It cost me $450, but the time saved and the headache avoided of having to go rent a furniture dolly and still try to find three to four good-sized friends and co-workers to help me move it, plus not risking dropping the safe, was worth the money.

I ended up hiring a professional moving company to pick it up, deliver it, and bring it into my bedroom after I unbolted the four bolts that bolt the safe to the pallet. He thought about it for a little bit and finally agreed to my offer.

So I made him an offer: I told him I would give him $800 for the safe and I’d figure out how to get it to my house. We couldn’t find anybody else to help us because we were going to need at least three to four people to get that thing on the flatbed trailer. He asked me to recruit a couple of co-workers to help load the safe onto his flatbed trailer. So he was going to sell it to me $1,000 on the condition that I go meet up with him at the place of pickup to help him load it onto his flatbed trailer and then he’d take it to my house. He already has 2 big safes, & said he didn’t have space for a third. But a friend of mine won a raffle where this safe AND a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm handgun together was one of the 4 winning prizes. On a good note, this safe retails for 1400. You have to buy it separately, unfortunately. It comes with a light kit, but unfortunately it doesn’t have a light outlet kit in it. I got the Liberty Revere 72 gunsafe that they sell at Tractor Depot.
